Pink October (Octobre Rose) is the month dedicated to raising women’s awareness of breast cancer screening and to raising funds for research. To mark the occasion, the Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Centre of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (CRCDC-BFC) runs a free connected challenge, open to everyone. Participants sign up on an app to count their steps as a team and receive prevention messages throughout the challenge. The aim is to raise awareness of the disease and to remind people that regular physical activity helps reduce the risk of cancer.

294 km covered, 294 € for the Ligue contre le cancer

Four of our team members took part in this year’s challenge, which ran from 12 to 25 October 2026. Over the two weeks, they took just over 411,500 steps, the equivalent of 294 km.

Alongside their participation, ScreenCell chose to add a charitable gesture to the challenge: donating 1€ to the Ligue contre le cancer, Doubs Committee in Besançon, for every kilometre covered. As a result, the 294 km add up to a 294€ donation!

Thank you and well done to our team members for their commitment, and to everyone across the region who took part in the challenge!
