Kits

ScreenCell is a simple and innovative non-invasive technology for isolating Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) and other Circulating Rare Cells (CRCs) from whole blood, and potentially any large cell in biological fluids.

ScreenCell offers different kind of kits to meet your needs depending on the downstream analysis of the CTCs andCTC clusters.

By providing an easy access to fixed or live Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) and Circulating Tumor Microemboli (CTMs), the ScreenCell kits allow a full range access to phenotypical, genotypical and functional characterization of these cells.

FIXED CELLS

  • ScreenCell Cyto kit (Ref: CY 4FC)

This CE/IVD kit contains 4 filtration devices allowing to filter up to 12 ml of whole blood (3 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken using K2-EDTA vacuum tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity.Cytological analysis and phenotypical characterization of the isolated CTCs and CTC clusters can be done directly on the circular filter : 

  • Enumeration
  • Immunocytochemistry
  • immunofluorescence and FISH assays.

This kit is intended to be used by research centers, laboratories, cancer treatment centers, and all teams interested in CTC characterization for cancer monitoring.

  • ScreenCell CSB kit (Ref: CY 4PBTFC)

This RUO (Research Use Only) kit contains 4 filtration devices allowing to filter up to 12 ml of whole blood (3 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken using preservative vacuum tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity. The preservative tubes stabilize blood for up to 3 days at room temperature which is useful when blood samples are taken in separate areas (muticentric studies for example).

This kit is dedicated to the same applications as the ScreenCell Cyto kit i.e. cytological analysis and phenotypical characterization of CTCs by:

  • Enumeration
  • Immunocytochemistry
  • Immunofluorescence and FISH assays.

This kit is intended to be used by research centers, cancer treatment centers, and all teams interested in CTC characterization for cancer monitoring.

  • ScreenCell MBSB kit (Ref: MB 3PBTFC)

This RUO (Research Use Only) kit contains 3 filtration devices allowing to filter up to 18 ml of whole blood (6 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken using preservative vacuum tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity. These tubes stabilize blood for up to 3 days at room temperature which is useful when blood samples are taken in separate areas (multicentric studies for example).

The capsule-filter perfectly fits into a 1.5 ml Eppendorf tube, so DNA or RNA extraction can be done directly on the filter. This kit is dedicated to molecular biology applications:

  • Gene expression characterization 
  • Identification of specific gene alterations and eligibility to specific treatments.

This kit is intended to be used by research centers, cancer treatment centers, and all teams interested in CTC characterization for cancer monitoring.

  • ScreenCell FCD kit (Ref: FCD 2FC)

This RUO (Research Use Only) kit contains 2 filtration devices allowing to filter up to 6 ml of whole blood (3 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken on preservative tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity. The preservative tubes stabilize blood for up to 3 days at room temperature which is useful when blood samples are taken in separate areas (multicentric studies for example).

After filtration, isolated cells are detached from the membrane using the detachment tool provided in the kit. Cells are then resuspended in a small volume of liquid for single cell analysis for molecular biology.

  • ScreenCell FCD-SP kit (Ref: FCD 2FC2)

This RUO (Research Use Only) kit contains 2 filtration devices allowing to filter up to 6 ml of whole blood (3 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken using K2-EDTA vacuum tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity.

After filtration, isolated cells are detached from the membrane using the detachment tool provided in the kit and cells are transferred to a glass slide using a cytospin.

This kit is intended to be used by research centers, cancer treatment centers, and all teams interested in CTC characterization for cancer monitoring.

LIVE CELLS (Molecular Biology and Cell Culture)

  • ScreenCell MB kit (Ref: MB 3LC)

This CE/IVD kit contains 3 filtration devices allowing to filter up to 18 ml of whole blood (6 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken using K2-EDTA vacuum tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity.

This kit is dedicated to molecular biology for:

  • Gene expression characterization after high quality RNA extraction and genomic DNA isolation
  • Identification of specific gene alterations and eligibility to specific treatments.

The capsule-filter perfectly fits into a 1.5 ml Eppendorf tube; therefore, DNA or RNA extraction can be done directly on the filter.

Moreover, this kit is suitable for cell culture applications and functional characterization of CTCs and CTC clusters. For example, to evualute if they have the potential to induce metastases in patients and to test drug screening. 

The capsule-filter fits into 24-wells culture plate. 

This kit is intended to be used by research centers, laboratories, cancer treatment centers, and all teams interested in CTC characterization for cancer monitoring.

  • ScreenCell LCD kit (Ref: LCD 2LC)

This RUO (Research Use Only) kit contains 2 filtration devices allowing to treat up to 12 ml of whole blood (from 3 ml up to 6 ml per filtration unit). The blood is taken using K2-EDTA vacuum tubes and mixed with a specific buffer to maintain target cell integrity.

After filtration, live isolated cells are detached from the membrane using the detachment tool provided in the kit. Cells are then resuspended in a small volume of liquid for single cell analysis or 3D culture purpose.

Accessories

ScreenCell has developed a special box for storage and secure shipment of ScreenCell Cyto isolation supports. Each box allows storing up to 12 Cyto filters.

These boxes, sold by pack of 5, can be stored at room temperature, at 4°C or at -20°C.

To help you for CTCs screening on the Cyto isolation supports, ScreenCell proposes an adapted slide on which you can place the filters.

Up to 4 filters can be placed on the same slide.
